Celebrating WWD on March1st with FREE films and conversation

March 1st at 5-7:30 pm in Lerner cinema

Join us for an engaging and entertaining evening all about big cats. Jackson Hole WILD on tour with the UN: Big Cats is a way to bring urgent issues to light with award-winning films. We'll be joined by conservation experts Brent Stapelkamp, Hwage Lion Research Project; Dr. Leo Douglas, American Museum of Natural History; and Andrea Heydlauff, filmmaker of Why the Lion Calls.
Picture
At 5 pm, you'll learn about the challenges tigers face to survive in India's human-dominated landscape through a screening of Broken Tails. Conversation will follow moderated by Amrita Neelakantan, a 5th year PhD candidate whose research has focused within relocated villages surrounding Kanha Tiger Reserve in India. The night will conclude with the showing of a short film, Why the Lion Calls, which highlights the ways people can be apart of the solution for African lion populations.

We hope to see you there.
